Highs and Lows of 2017

After catching up with some old blogs I enjoy reading, I’m joining in with a reflective linky to say farewell to 2017.

Scroll down to copy the questions if you’d like to join in & don’t forget to link back to the lovely Kate On Thin Ice.

1. What was your happiest event?  Passing my driving theory test. I put a lot of time into this and it paid off, it was harder than I thought.

2. What was the saddest thing to happen? Nothing, it’s been quite a positive year.

3. What was the most unlikely thing to happen that actually went ahead and did? Going on holiday, right up until the week before I didn’t want to go.

4. Who let you down? Nobody, I have zero expectations when it comes to people.

5. Who supported you? Family & friends have been there when needed.

6. Tell us what you learned. Not to sweat the small stuff, to not get my knickers in a twist about things that I have no control over, in the words of Elsa, I’ve ‘Let It Go’.

7. Tell us what made you laugh. Lots of silly things, from giggles to full on crying to the point that I might wet myself, you can’t beat a good laugh until your sides hurt.

8. Tell us the things that made you cry. Not much, the summer months were tricky, dealing with the aftermath of a bullying situation.

9. Tell us three things your child or children did to make you feel proud. My eldest child has thrown herself into her college work & driving lessons. My middle child for persevering with school and not dropping out to go to college. My youngest child for continuing to be his happy self and always being so positive.

10. Tell us the things that made you proud of yourself. Carrying on with my law degree, time wise it’s been a drag & I’ve wanted to throw the towel in, but I’m glad I’ve stuck with it.

11. Tell us the challenges you overcame. Leaving my job earlier in the year to work for my family business, it was a risk, but I’m glad I did it.

12. Tell us the things you would like to change about your life in 2018. Passing my driving test & to start losing weight.
